Role Summary
Territory Business Manager – Primary Immune Deficiency supporting Los Angeles, California. The role reports to the Sr. Regional Business Director and is part of the PI Sales Team. Focus is on driving patient starts, outpatient infusion/hospital sales, and education of healthcare professionals and patients within a matrix environment.
Responsibilities
- Achieve sales quotas through driving new patient starts, sales in outpatient infusion centers and hospitals, and retention of patients on Takeda augmentation treatment.
- Conduct customer engagements to deliver sales presentations, provide technical and administrative product information, and educate on neuromuscular conditions and Takeda support resources.
- Understand influence points within the office and how each individual affects diagnosis, treatment, and Rx/referral/order.
- Participate in community education events and conferences for healthcare professionals and patients.
- Focus on healthcare professionals (Allergy/Immunology, Pulmonology, Infectious Disease, select Internal Medicine/Primary Care). Educate and inform HCPs on Takeda brands for Primary Immune Deficiency.
- Analyze local and regional business/managed market trends to build long- and short-term goals that lead to a successful business plan.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Patient Services, Alternate Site Team, Integrated Health Systems, Market Access, and National Accounts to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and pull-through opportunities within each geography.
- Work compliantly in a matrix environment, handling confidential patient information per Takeda practices and policies.
- embody and embrace the patient-centric culture aligned to Takeda-ism and follow PTRB as a guide in decision making.
Qualifications
- Required: Clinical sales background with a Bachelor's degree (minimum) and 5+ years of proven experience in healthcare sales with demonstrated successful outcomes.
- Required: Reside within the assigned territory and manage it comprehensively from border to border.
- Required: Experienced in navigating payer and reimbursement challenges.
- Required: Comfortable with emerging technologies, adaptable to digital tools, and open to AI-enabled processes.
- Preferred: 7+ years of successful healthcare sales experience with a strong track record of performance.
- Preferred: Experience with specialty biologics (injections/infusions) and collaboration with specialty pharmacies.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Plasma-Derived Therapies, Rare Diseases or Biotech.

Education
- Bachelor's degree (minimum) in a relevant field.
Additional Requirements
- Travel: ~50% to 70% travel; overnight travel expected, may require occasional weekends.
- Training: Must pass mandatory product training with written and oral examinations; training period may involve overtime and temporary non-exempt status before transitioning to exempt status.
