Position Summary:
Specialty Sales Territory Business Manager (TBM) reporting to the Regional Sales Director. Maximize sales of MannKind products within the geographic territory and drive sales growth.

Accountabilities:
- Achieve territory sales goals in full adherence to MannKind compliance policies/procedures (including FDA label-consistent messages)
- Deliver effective sales presentations
- Establish and maintain customer relationships; maintain in-depth knowledge of disease state, products, competition, and territory
- Maintain agreed-upon budgets and territory timelines
- Align territory growth to business unit strategy using available tactics/resources
- Solve customer challenges by translating clinical data into a patient-specific picture of product clinical attributes

Primary Responsibilities:
- Total account management: develop relationships and create value by addressing gaps in treatment plans
- Reduce practice pathway friction using approved materials, programs, and resources
- Maintain and communicate latest clinical/industry data to HCPs compliantly
- Monitor sales activity and identify growth opportunities using reports/analyses and geography insights (stakeholders, payer landscape)
- Organize plan/call routing and execute data-based pre- and post-call plans
- Communicate effectively with customers, peers, and stakeholders
- Demonstrate knowledge of chronic kidney disease and/or Type 1 & 2 diabetes, competitive landscape, and treatment guidelines
- Drive appropriate utilization of approved products with relevant specialists and healthcare professionals
- Develop relationships with Product Marketing/Management for voice-of-customer and market observations
- Maintain professional/technical knowledge via training, publications, and networking
- Complete tasks on time, with quality, organized and compliant
- Comply with laws, regulations, company Code of Conduct, privacy/data guidelines, and PDMA Guidelines
- Participate in meetings/training; represent company at conventions when requested
- Observe Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines; use Marketing/Sales tools compliantly
- Overnight travel may be required; duties may include other assignments

Qualifications:
Basic (required):
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales OR Associate’s + 6 years sales OR HS/GED + 8 years sales
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Must live within territory boundaries

Preferred:
- 3+ years selling in complex/competitive environments
- Prior sales/pharmaceutical experience in Endocrinology and/or Nephrology
- 3+ years pre-existing Endo/Nephro relationships in the territory
- Strong knowledge of Type 1 & 2 diabetes and nephrology treatment landscape/guidelines
- Product launch experience; Medicare experience is a plus
- Experience with HUBs and specialty pharmacies
- Medicare coverage determination facilitation and/or prior authorization experience
- Knowledge of medical/healthcare/pharmaceutical industry; ability to understand healthcare regulations
- Strong sales cycle and clinical selling skills (compliant, data-driven)
- Track record of documented sales growth
- Self-motivated with accountability; proactive prospecting
- Excellent planning, communication, organization, and time management

Pay Range:
- $112,000 - $168,000 per year.
