Role: Global Engineering Technology Authority for Plant Equipment at Takeda, responsible for developing and governing strategies, standards, and innovation for plant utilities, HVAC/R, and clean-room systems to ensure safe, reliable, sustainable manufacturing. Responsibilities include leading technology strategy, evaluating lifecycle improvements, aligning global standards, conducting technology scouting, overseeing the implementation of new technologies, and translating global regulations into engineering practices. The role provides technical direction on complex lifecycle issues and influences large CAPEX decisions. Qualifications: over 12 years in biopharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing engineering, with demonstrated expertise in drug substance process equipment, utilities, and lifecycle management, supported by a technical or scientific degree. Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA/EMA guidelines, and industry standards (ISPE, PDA) is required. The role demands excellent stakeholder engagement, leadership across global functions, and decision-making autonomy. High-value specifics include focus on biopharma manufacturing infrastructure, critical utilities (e.g., Water for Injection, Clean Steam), and compliance with global regulatory and sustainability standards. The position is based in Zurich or Lexington, MA, with up to 30% travel expected.
