The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the quality of raw materials, commodities, and durable & consumable received are acceptable per the appropriate quality attributes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform sampling and inspect raw materials, commodities, durable & consumable as per specifications.
- Release materials according to material specifications and incoming quality procedures.
- Enter test results in manufacturing systems (SAP and LIMS).
- Segregate and document rejected and experimental materials.
- Keep current specifications, procedures, and documents for the area.
Qualifications:
- High School or GED with 1 year of experience in the biologics or pharmaceutical industry, or Associate Degree in Science with 0 years of experience.
- Knowledge of good manufacturing (GMP) and safety practices.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Experience driving forklifts and handling materials (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of computer systems.
