Role Summary
Technician - Process Material Preparation is responsible for executing daily operational tasks to support filling, dispensing, and formulation processes. This role focuses on material preparation activities to enable manufacturing operations and requires adherence to safety policies, standard operating procedures, and current Good Manufacturing Practices. The position involves documenting steps in batch records and maintaining qualification for assigned equipment, with a 12-hour day shift (06:00β18:30) on a 2-2-3 rotation and willingness to perform non-routine work with safety and integrity in mind.
Responsibilities
- This role will be responsible for execution of daily operational tasks defined by the shift lead/supervisor.
- Primary area of responsibility will be focusing on material preparation activities to support filling/dispensing/formulation processes.
- Day shift role from 0600 to 1830 with a 2-2-3 shift rotation.
Qualifications
- Required: Ability to gown and work in controlled classified areas (Grade C and Grade D).
- Required: Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal).
- Required: Flexibility and problem-solving skills.
- Required: Basic digital literacy (desktop software/web browser). Training and qualifications are documented on a web based application.
- Required: Must pass a βfitness for dutyβ physical exam.
- Required: Ability to work 12-hour shifts on days (2-2-3 schedule) with additional overtime as the need arises.
- Required: Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
- Required: Ability to wear safety equipment required (safety glasses, safety shoes, protective gloves etc.).
- Preferred: Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs).
- Preferred: Previous experience working in operations/pharmaceutical industry.
- Preferred: Previous experience in a Grade C environment.
- Preferred: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Preferred: BioWork Certification.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
