The Pharmacy Technician position exists to support the pharmacist(s) in completing duties associated with entering and managing drug therapy orders, fulfilling and dispensing prescriptions, maintaining pharmacy records and other professional activities. Collaborate with and support Pharmacy Leads and Supervisors in day-to-day activities, issue resolution, and completion of project tasks.

Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in accordance with federal, state and local regulations, HIPAA guidelines, corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
- Assist with picking, labeling, packing and shipping of orders by interpreting prescription orders, entering them into the core pharmacy system, notifying physicians of incomplete/incorrect information, and performing physician outreach within legal technician authority.
- Identify and recommend process/system improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Interact professionally with other healthcare professionals to assure accurate patient service provision.
- Maintain current licensure and CE requirements.
- Promote the AbbVie Way and influence positive culture.
- Complete role-based training requirements, including certifications and competency assessments prior to end of training.
- Maintain a work environment that upholds privacy standards required by law and AbbVie.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; College or 2-year Associate Degree preferred.
- Meet Pharmacy Technician licensure and certification requirements by first day of employment.
- 0–2 years’ experience in a healthcare provider, PBM, Specialty Pharmacy or Retail/Mail Order Pharmacy setting preferred; familiarity with medical record handling/documentation; strong core insurance knowledge; high-quality customer service; knowledge of online verification systems.
- Clear written and oral communication.
- Strong attention to detail; ability to multitask and make independent, high-quality decisions; operate under general supervision.
- Strong computer skills and quick, accurate data entry (e.g., Microsoft Word/Excel).
- Time management to meet deadlines; collaborative and cross-functional acumen.
- Flexible schedule; ability to work 7am–7pm.
