Role: Responsible for slide-scanning functions in a clinical laboratory supporting pathology workflows, including operation, troubleshooting, quality control, and software testing of Whole Slide Scanners. Responsibilities: coordinate receipt and assessment of glass slides, operate scanners, evaluate image quality, perform re-scans, triage cases for digital review, maintain and calibrate equipment, assist with software testing, and collaborate cross-functionally with departments like IHC, Lab Operations, and Pathology. Requirements: associate degree in Biological or Physical Sciences or equivalent experience; high attention to detail and adherence to clinical protocols. Preferred: experience with whole-slide imaging, histology, IHC, and laboratory safety. Skills: effective communication, organizational ability, multitasking in a fast-paced environment, proficiency in Microsoft Office. High-value: clinical diagnostics, histopathology data collection, GxP compliance, safety regulations, support of digital pathology workflows. Work setup: requires periodic travel, may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
