Position Responsibilities
- Define and own end-to-end technical architecture for the Predictive Dairy Solutions platform (data ingestion/storage, algorithmic processing, APIs, front-end delivery) with scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Design data infrastructure for phenotypic data ingestion, transformation, and storage to support R&D and commercial delivery.
- Architect the integration layer connecting front-end UX, backend data systems, R&D, and third-party platforms.
- Partner with R&D/data science to enable rapid development, testing, and deployment of predictive algorithms/models.
- Develop scalability/globalization strategies (multi-region, data residency, performance optimization).
- Maintain architectural documentation (design specs, data flow diagrams, integration blueprints, technical roadmaps).
- Evaluate emerging technologies and patterns; mentor teams.
Qualifications
- BS in CS/IS/Software Engineering/Data Science or related; MS/advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years in data/software architecture or systems engineering; scalable production-grade platforms.
- 3+ years working with predictive models/advanced analytics in product delivery.
- 5+ years with cloud data platforms (Databricks, AWS, Azure, GCP), data lakes/warehouses, modern data engineering.
- Dairy/agriculture/life sciences experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to communicate architecture to technical and non-technical audiences; stakeholder management across time zones.
Benefits/Compensation
- US base salary range: $140,000β$210,000; eligible for short-term and long-term incentives; healthcare/insurance day one, 401(k) match/profit-sharing, and 4 weeks vacation.
