Role Overview
The Technical Application Owner holds day-to-day technical ownership of an assigned set of GPS applications, with additional focus on systems built on the Veeva platform. Responsibilities include resolving incidents, guiding configuration and development work, and partnering with vendors and technical teams to keep systems stable, secure, and audit ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical health of assigned GPS applications (uptime, performance, lifecycle management).
- Main technical point of contact for incidents, problems, and escalations using ITIL practices.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs for vendors and developers.
- Lead configuration, development, and testing for system changes with vendors and product teams.
- Coordinate deployment and stabilization of releases, including business testing and adoption support.
- Track service performance vs. SLAs and KPIs; flag risks and improvement opportunities.
- Provide status updates and technical recommendations to business and IT stakeholders.
Your Basic Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- 2+ years software development lifecycle experience (initiation through deployment, support, and retirement).
- 2+ years service delivery, application support, and vendor management.
- Authorized to work in the United States full-time; Lilly does not sponsor.
What You Should Bring
- ITIL/ServiceNow or similar service management tools.
- Regulated GxP environment experience; software QA familiarity.
- SQL, Oracle, or related databases.
- Agile/DevOps and automation tooling for support.
- Veeva Vault configuration/validation/administration in a GxP environment.
- AWS (CloudFormation, Lambda, Glue, RDS) in regulated environments.
- Networking concepts; Microsoft Azure/Entra ID (e.g., Active Directory, group management).
- HP ALM, GitHub, Jira; automation/workflow orchestration/AI support.
- Experience leading teams; influencing business/IT leaders.
- Enterprise transformation/service standardization/operating model optimization experience.
Location & Work Flexibility
- Corporate Center in Indianapolis, IN; hybrid (three days onsite, two days remote).
Compensation/Benefits
- Anticipated base pay: $66,000β$154,000; eligible for company bonus and comprehensive benefits (401(k), pension, vacation, medical/dental/vision, flexible benefits, life insurance, time off/leave, well-being benefits).
