Role Summary
The Tech Manager collaborates with the External Manufacturing Operations teams & other GSK functions to build local capability and drive measurable value from existing & new innovative Tech. The role is accountable for ensuring all External Manufacturing Tech systems are available, secure and compliant with GSK Tech standards. Manages internal & external Tech providers against expected service levels. Responsible for business level implementation of foundational, advanced & digital Tech solutions to support and drive improvement in safety, service, cost & quality KPIs. Collaborates with other GSK functions to ensure digital capability remain secure and compliant to GSK standards. Champions adoption & use of Digital & Technology capabilities to drive performance improvement & collaborates with PQTS+ (Cross functional) teams to deliver increased value.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates & agrees with business leadership teams to priorities for key Tech projects & strategy for the business over multiple years. Benchmarking with other GSK sites and externally within the industry.
- Manages local Tech team & budget in the delivery of foundational & advanced & innovation projects relating to Tech to maximise value for the site working within agile, value driven methodology.
- Acts as site Tech subject matter expert (SME), maintaining & sharing deep domain Tech expertise & knowledge, facilitates input when appropriate from other internal & external subject matter experts
- Champions Digital & Technology capability building across all site teams. Works with leadership teams to identify and resolve any capability gaps.
- Leads cross-functional teams at site to deliver value through Digital & Technology led projects.
- Builds internal & external collaboration with Tech vendors, external companies & other industry bodies in addition to collaborating with GSK functions in order to stay current with latest Tech & industry trends.
- Drives digital and technology operations to ensure site Tech remains secure & minimises vulnerability risks
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelorโs degree or equivalent in a science, engineering, computing, or similar discipline
- Required: Experience in delivering and operating complex digital capability with significant business change using Agile methodologies
- Required: Managing diverse stakeholder groups aligning business outcomes to digital interventions
- Required: Experience in leading the delivery and operation of digital capability within External Manufacturing & Supply Chain processes (within a regulated environment).
- Preferred: Strong expertise in current Tech solutions available in the marketplace with understanding of digital and technology management systems.
- Preferred: A proven ability to lead others to success in a line and matrix manner (with a wide range of skill sets โ business, technical, project), combining strong goal on delivery, collaboration and teamwork
- Preferred: Ability to shape best practices, develop capability across the site teams and champion the application of current & novel Digital & technology for problems solving & continuous improvement.
- Preferred: Strong communication and influencing skills to work cross-functionally with a diverse team.
- Preferred: Experience in delivering and operating Software as a Service Solutions with strong vendor and strategic partner management capabilities
