The Team Lead Materials Management ensures high performance at the Charles City Site for biological vaccine supply. Leads day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of planning, scheduling, and direct materials readiness to protect customer supply and production efficiency. Identifies risks early (3–24 months), brings options/recommendations, and aligns cross-functional partners (Operations, Quality, Process Teams, Supply Chain Network) to resolve issues before they impact production.

Conducts activities and decisions in accordance with Company policies/SOPs and global regulatory guidelines (including cGMP/cGLP/cGCP), as appropriate.

Position Responsibilities:
- Customer & network partnership: Respond to customer inquiries/order status needs; communicate constraints, tradeoffs, and recovery plans.
- Forward-looking risk management: Identify long-term production/supply obstacles; lead mitigation plans with owners, actions, and timelines.
- S&OP/IBP/S&OE execution: Coordinate inputs for NPI, long-term capacity, inventory strategy/targets, and budget planning; use scenario planning.
- Inventory exception management: Review inventory alerts/exceptions; drive corrective actions to stabilize supply and improve inventory health.
- Planning leadership & parameter governance: Lead process order cycle; maintain planning parameters; monitor/manage resource utilization.
- Materials ordering & readiness: Lead ordering for direct materials and intercompany needs; ensure timely receipt/readiness and escalate issues.
- Lot release enablement: Coordinate with Quality/Operations/Process Teams to support timely lot release (investigations/change controls).
- Continuous improvement & KPI ownership: Use KPIs, standard work, and root-cause problem solving to reduce expediting.
- People leadership: Develop team members; coach problem-solving/communication; build planner/buyer ownership culture.

Technical Skills & Competencies Required:
- Exceptional written/verbal communication in English.

- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Strong analytical/structured problem-solving (trend analysis, scenario planning, root cause/CAPA).
- Knowledge of manufacturing/product flow and quality/release impacts.
- Knowledge of manufacturing capabilities/constraints.
- Working knowledge of SAP, MPS, MRP, and inventory management.
- Ability to lead complexity across a broad product portfolio; strong organization/prioritization/negotiation.

Preferred qualifications:
- Proficient in Zoetis Supply Operating Model and SAP.
- Experience managing distressed inventory.
- Experience in regulated biologics/pharma environments.

Physical requirements:
- Sit/work on computer long periods; walk/sit/stand for long periods.
- Work scheduled 40 hours with ability to work more as needed.
- Repetitive motion; substantial wrist/hand/finger movement.
