Role Summary
Reporting to the Director of Global Tax Reporting and N.A. Compliance, this role will assist the tax team members with the preparation and review of the overall accounting for income taxes under U.S. GAAP, federal and state income tax filing calculations, the tax technology roadmap, and various tax planning and project initiatives. The successful candidate must be well organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with the ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams. This role will work with both internal and external tax professionals as well as individuals across all departments in the company.
Responsibilities
- Prepares accounting for income tax computations and confirms adherence to internal controls under Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Prepares monthly and quarterly account analyses and reconciliations for tax-related accounts.
- Prepares calculations and compiles support for N.A. tax compliance, as directed.
- Prepares write-ups in response to N.A. tax controversy/notices as directed.
- Performs input into standardized processes, including the use of OneSource Tax Provision software for computation of U.S. GAAP income tax accounting.
- Performs responsibilities with an emphasis on technology and data, and identifying potential opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Participate in research tax credit studies in partnership with outside providers.
- Partner with tax and cross-functional team members on ad-hoc projects.
Skills
- Word, PowerPoint, advanced knowledge of Excel
- OneSource Tax Provision and OneSource Income Tax
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
- Oracle, Hyperion, Alteryx, SAP, Snowflake, and PowerBI are a strong plus but not required
- Prior corporate Accounting/Tax office experience is a strong plus but not required
Education
- Bachelorβs Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Typically requires 3-5 years of experience in Big Four/corporate in-house tax department or the equivalent combination of education and experience
