Job Description:
The Tax Manager, Transfer Pricing supports the development, implementation, and optimization of global transfer pricing compliance and assists AbbVie’s transfer pricing strategy with an emphasis on leveraging technology. Ensures transfer pricing processes are efficient and compliant. Collaborates with Operations and Commercial Finance and independently leads process improvements. Reports to the Senior Manager, Transfer Pricing.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor global transfer pricing processes (operations, licensing, R&D, and intellectual property).
- Lead process improvements for the TP Group; support TP strategy using technology (Alteryx, Power Query, Power BI).
- Assist with tariff-related activities.
- Monitor local profitability of select legal entities and address discrepancies with corporate tax policies.
- Prepare contemporaneous transfer pricing documentation, including data gathering, status calls with service providers, and review of draft reports.
- Enhance processes for transfer pricing projects.
- Support tax department execution of business transactions, initiatives, contracts, M&A, tax controversy, and other transfer pricing questions.
- Track and manage transfer pricing risks (including non-compliance) for new product launches and global supply chain changes.
- Maintain transfer pricing calculation documentation with an audit trail; prepare responses to IDRs and support tax audits.
- Develop and deliver guidance on correct transfer pricing methods; monitor transfer pricing legislation/regulation, court cases, circulars, and policy.

Qualifications:
- B.A./B.S. in Accounting or Finance required (advanced degree a plus).
- CPA certification preferred.
- Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of tax experience in a global transfer pricing environment.
- Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and analytical/quantitative skills.
- Strong organization and ability to prioritize, plan, work independently, implement projects, and meet quarterly deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Third-party Transfer Pricing software and/or Alteryx experience a plus.
