Role Summary
This role will work alongside the North America Tax Compliance and Reporting Manager to ensure that all income tax compliance and reporting requirements are delivered on a timely and accurate basis, including partnering with our outsourced provider to ensure that all direct tax obligations are fulfilled efficiently and completed to a high standard. The role will support the completion of all Federal and State income tax returns, R&D Tax Credit, Estimates and Extensions, interim and year-end Tax Reporting, cash tax forecasts, and responding to tax authority inquiries. The position is based in Warren, NJ and requires 3 days in office presence.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of all annual Federal and State income tax returns and supporting documentation
- Assist in the preparation of the interim and year-end tax provision and supporting documentation
- Prepare tax account balance sheet reviews, and support collection of control evidence
- Prepare and file quarterly estimates and extensions, and assist in cash tax forecasting process
- Provide support for Federal and State tax authority inquires, including notices and audits
- Participate in special projects, including conducting research on technical tax matters and documenting to support findings
- Support team initiatives and contribute to Global Tax and company-wide objectives
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Required: 2+ years of experience in U.S. federal and state income tax compliance and reporting
- Required: Solid understanding of U.S. tax laws and regulations, including corporate income tax
- Required: Experience with tax provision preparation and related supporting documentation
- Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with tax compliance software
- Required: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Required: Independent thinker with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across teams
- Preferred: CPA designation or progress toward certification /other advanced degree
- Preferred: Masterβs degree in accounting, Taxation, or related field
- Preferred: Prior experience in public accounting (Big 4 or equivalent) or large multinational corporation
- Preferred: Strong ability to interpret and apply complex tax regulations
- Preferred: Demonstrated capability to work effectively in a matrix organization and collaborate across global teams
