Systems Engineer Co-Op

Role: Support product development within Bayer’s Radiology Device R&D through systems engineering activities across the product lifecycle. Responsibilities: assist with requirements development, verification and validation planning, risk management, usability, data analysis, and technical documentation; participate in design reviews and investigations; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements: enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Chemical, Materials Science, or related engineering field; sophomore or higher; full-time availability; strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills; proficient with Microsoft Office. Preferred: laboratory or engineering project experience; coursework in medical device development; familiarity with verification, validation, risk, and quality management principles; understanding of regulatory standards for medical devices. High-value: medical device development, regulated environment, lifecycle support, cross-functional collaboration. Location: onsite in Indianola, PA; no specific travel required. Compensation: hourly pay between $24-$45.50, with potential bonuses and benefits.
