Role: Surgery Field Engineer Apprentice supporting diagnostic imaging equipment maintenance and troubleshooting within hospital radiology environments. Objectives: ensure equipment functionality, safety, and customer satisfaction through hands-on service and repairs.
Responsibilities: evaluate and troubleshoot imaging devices, perform preventive maintenance, conduct safety/environmental inspections, document services per protocols, communicate with customers, and assist more experienced technicians. Maintain tools and test equipment, ensure calibration, and adhere to quality and compliance standards.
Qualifications: high school diploma/GED with 6 months experience servicing electronic, IT, or mechanical equipment, or currently enrolled in a relevant degree or certificate program. Knowledge of schematic diagrams, troubleshooting, and basic diagnostic imaging or electronic equipment preferred. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and legal work authorization in the U.S.
Preferred Skills: ability interpret schematics, diagnose mechanical/electromechanical/electronic issues, strong communication, customer relation skills, and team collaboration. Physical capability to lift and maneuver equipment up to 35 lbs., flexibility to perform various physical activities.
