Overview:
- The Manufacturing Product and Packaging Operations supervisor will support execution of strategic initiatives for the Ottava production team, focusing on hiring, training, mentoring, analyzing workflows, identifying bottlenecks through Lean and Six Sigma, and implementing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and be responsible for the daily production build plan.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production bottlenecks.
- Supervise a team of technicians; hire, train, and mentor team members.
- Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
- Document and share best practices to foster innovation and operational excellence.
- Track performance metrics and report progress to leadership.
Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum of an Associate’s degree and/or equivalent university degree required.
- Required: 2+ years of relevant professional work experience; supervisory experience in medical devices; Lean and Six Sigma and other continuous improvement experience; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience working in matrixed organizations and cross-functional teams; strong personnel management skills.
- Preferred: Experience in capital equipment in medical device manufacturing; familiarity with medical device labeling and packaging.
- Other: May require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel.
