Role Summary

The Supply Chain Operations Specialist is responsible for keeping GMP records of all materials and products received, stocked, packaged, and shipped at the manufacturing facility. They ensure correct materials are provided to production and finish-good product is delivered to couriers with proper labeling within scheduled time frames, and maintain appropriate inventory levels. This role is on-site in Carlsbad, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely data entry for GxP documents and ERP transactions.
  • Coordinate shipping, receiving, storage and processing of goods, including periodic inventory cycle and spot counts, reconciliation of discrepancies, and staging of material for production.
  • Load and offload trucks using industrial equipment and transfer material to proper storage areas on site and in nearby satellite warehouses.
  • Inspect and verify material, labels and documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Participate in sitewide and cross-functional projects, including supporting the creation of SOPs, Scopes of Work, Training, and other Supply Chain tasks.
  • Operate radiation detection equipment after training for radioactive material handling, receipt and shipment.
  • Complete required job-specific training, cGMP, HS&E, Dangerous Goods, etc.
  • Support direct/in-direct material ordering and maintain inventory of warehouse supplies with Supply Chain Planning and Procurement.
  • Coordinate pickup and destruction of non-hazardous and hazardous waste with DOT & IATA training.
  • Utilize computer systems to reconcile and track materials (MS Dynamics 365, SAP S4 Hana, UPS, FedEx, etc.).
  • Lift up to 25-50 pounds as needed; cross-train for packaging operations to support finish-good delivery.
  • Record and organize Supply Chain documentation neatly and accurately on site.
  • Use MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Operate company vehicles and Powered Industrial Trucks for inventory transfer between warehouses.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or undergraduate degree in business or science-related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Distribution, Warehousing, or Manufacturing in a regulated healthcare environment.
  • Hazardous shipping training a plus.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule supporting a 24/7 production operation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement/inventory management systems and procedures.
  • Excellent customer service skills and professional attitude.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and site protocols/policies.

Education
