Your Role: Supply Chain Site Planner

As the Supply Chain Site Planner at Elanco’s Clinton Manufacturing site, you will support the planning process that helps align customer demand with the site’s production capacity and resources. In this role, you’ll assist with forecasting activities, help track production performance, and work closely with both central supply chain teams and local operations to ensure plans are accurate and achievable.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Translate mid- to long-term demand into a feasible site production plan, aligning with site capacity and resources
  • Track and analyze production output to support business plan reviews, forecasts, and customer service objectives
  • Partner with network planning, site scheduling, procurement, and customer service to resolve supply issues and manage inventory targets
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional teams, including product launch and production meetings, to align supply chain strategies
  • Utilize SAP/IBP planning tools to manage production plans, scenario analysis, and inventory levels

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Required Experience: Entry-level candidate’s welcome; internships, co-ops, or academic projects in supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or related areas
  • Top Skills: Understanding of manufacturing operations, problem-solving ability, and effective communication across functions

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

  • Exposure to SAP, IBP, or other planning/ERP systems through coursework, internships, or work experience
  • Curiosity and initiative to support process improvements and planning projects
  • Ability to analyze basic data and contribute to inventory tracking or simple scenario analysis
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills across functions like procurement, scheduling, or customer service

  • Travel: Minimal, up to 10% annually
  • Location: Clinton, IN Manufacturing Site – Onsite
