Operations
Responsibilities:
- Manage Material Requirements Plan (MRP) inventory forecasts to support Master Production Schedule (MPS).
- Determine raw material/commodity/code needs and proper inventory levels; create system requisitions and monitor delivery, communicating priorities to Receiving and Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA).
- Coordinate with Receiving, Quality, Labs, Purchasing, Transportation, Manufacturing, Finishing, and MS&T to ensure material needs are met.
- Communicate significant forecast volume changes that may require purchasing strategy adjustments.
- Coordinate with test labs and quality assurance to establish and track delivery dates for raw materials or products on test.
- Establish performance reports to monitor and address supplier performance for timely and quality delivery.
- Prepare monthly inventory reports covering obsolete/surplus items, DOH, working inventory, and total inventory; manage disposition via Material Destruct Orders (MDOs); facilitate financial coverage discussions with Brand Teams as applicable.
- Identify large Purchase Price Variances (PPV); lead monthly PPV reporting and improvement opportunities with Purchasing and Finance.
- Lead implementation of new systems and planning of new projects; guide Inventory Planners (level II and III) when needed; manage related departmental projects.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on SAP and other departmental data tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in a related field OR 3β5 years of experience in Materials Management/Operations; 3β5 years in Purchasing/Maintenance; or 5+ minimum total combined years of experience.
- Team player focused on improvement and results; high-level analytical skills; excellent written and oral communication; excellent organizational skills.
- Persistent, resilient, and resourceful; resolves issues in a timely manner.
