Supervisor, Manufacturing - First Shift

Role: The Supervisor, Manufacturing oversees start-up, commissioning, and ongoing operations of Norton’s new commercial Drug Substance manufacturing process. Objectives include ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient GMP manufacturing, supporting equipment qualification, and executing manufacturing campaigns from start-up through launch. Responsibilities encompass managing and developing a team of technicians, supporting equipment validation, creating GMP documentation, troubleshooting process issues, and maintaining regulatory compliance. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with engineering, quality, supply chain, and automation teams, focusing on continuous improvement and operational excellence. Qualifications required include a BA/BS in science or engineering, 5+ years in GMP biopharma manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing technicians. In-depth knowledge of cGMP regulations, process automation, SAP, LIMS, and MES systems is essential. Experience with biologics manufacturing, start-up environments, and regulatory audits are high-value preferences. The position is on-site in Norton, MA, with support for shift work, including nights, weekends, and extended hours.
