Role Summary

Supervisor, Line II – Monday–Friday, 2:30pm to 11:00pm. Lead and participate in a fast-paced pharmaceutical finishing operation to meet production requirements with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. Responsible for supporting setup, changeover, packaging, and equipment troubleshooting on multiple lines, and for creating a safety- and quality-focused environment by optimizing line resources to drive performance to meet or exceed production targets.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated ability to actively manage line clearances for lot and list changes and blowing of the finishing line/equipment on multiple value streams.
  • Work as a direct team member on assigned line as required to maximize performance.
  • Back up and provide support to the Operations Coordinator.
  • Effectively trains Line Supervisor candidates as qualified Subject Matter Expert.
  • Identify, implement and drive process improvements on dedicated lines focused on reducing human error, increasing OEE, and enhancing yield.
  • Communicate and drive improvement opportunities through cross-functional teams. Works closely with the production schedule and understands line priorities while working with minimal/limited supervision.
  • Oversight of a minimum of 5 employees on the line.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED β€” Required.
  • Technical certificate or degree β€” Preferred.
  • 4+ years closely related cGMP manufacturing experience β€” Preferred.
  • Technical experience and troubleshooting aptitude β€” Preferred.
  • Display sufficient business acumen to apply cross-functionally.
  • Must be goal oriented, able to lead within a team environment, self-motivated and work with a sense of urgency to meet business needs. Ability to effectively influence team without direct authority over line personnel.
  • Demonstrated performance as a Line Supervisor for a minimum of 1–2 years β€” Preferred.
  • Ability to get things done to influence others, and communicate effectively.
  • Coordinate and engage with other Line supervisors and team members on different lines.
  • Demonstrated focus and understanding of the importance of maintaining safety and quality, ensuring compliance to site-level policies and procedures.
  • Ability to escalate and communicate issues to appropriate operations, EHS, engineering and maintenance teams as required.
  • Understanding and experience with production systems such as ERP, MES, etc. β€” Preferred.

Skills

  • Basic computer skills including POMS and SAP; ability to learn new programs and applications.

Additional Requirements

  • Standing 8–12 hours per day; ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Work 40–60 hours per week depending on manufacturing demands.
