Role Summary

Line Supervisor I will work in a fast-paced pharmaceutical finishing operation to meet production requirements with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. They will support setup, changeover, packaging, equipment, and troubleshooting on packaging lines, and lead and collaborate with peers on the finishing line. They will foster a safety- and quality-focused environment by motivating others and driving for excellence within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety and Quality procedures while facilitating a proactive compliance culture. Elevate safety, quality, technical and operating concerns and ideas in a timely manner to the appropriate groups.
  • Continuous daily supervision of a single packaging line processes.
  • Work as a direct team member on assigned line as required to maximize performance (must be a qualified team member).
  • Actively manage line execution of required tasks per procedure and defined process for maximum efficiency. This includes, but is not limited to: blowing, clearing, set-up and production on the defined line.
  • Troubleshooting in-process problems with the ability to remediate routine operational and system issues.
  • Accurately and compliantly document and review batch records completed by operations personnel to ensure Right-First-Time execution.
  • Takes initiative to act and make continuous process improvement suggestions and changes through innovative ideas.
  • Sustain 5S of packaging lines within the finishing department.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years cGMP or related manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cGMP requirements in a regulated industry.
  • Must be goal oriented, able to lead within a team environment, self-motivated and work with a sense of urgency to meet business needs.
  • Ability to effectively influence team without direct authority over line personnel.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
  • Computer skills and ability to learn new programs and applications required.
  • Understanding and experience with production systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning, Manufacturing Execution Systems, etc. preferred.
  • Work 40 to 48 hours per week and may work as many as 60 hours depending on manufacturing demands.

Additional Requirements

  • Requires standing up to 8-12hrs per day and lifting up to 25 pounds.
