The Supervisor, Insurance Analyst provides leadership, support, and supervision for the Insurance Analyst team. Serves as a subject matter expert on commercial pharmacy, major medical, and government insurance plans, prior authorizations, appeals, and alternate coverage referrals. Ensures day-to-day operations meet performance metrics, deliverables, and customer service activities aligned to a high-touch model.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise insurance analysts verifying new patient insurance benefits and handling claim rejections; proactively develop solutions for prior authorization and denied coverage issues.
- Partner with Leads to monitor workflow, adjust staffing, and ensure timely, efficient completion of activities.
- Monitor calls and perform case reviews for accuracy, policy adherence, and customer service; coach/train; provide performance feedback and reviews.
- Manage administrative tasks (scheduling, attendance monitoring, vacation/overtime scheduling), participate in hiring, and address direct report issues.
- Meet/exceed performance metric standards; provide progress reports and elevate issues as appropriate.
- Identify process improvements and support implementation of new projects/products in Pharmacy; ensure compliance with required training, HIPAA/privacy, and applicable pharmacy laws.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in health sciences or business preferred (comparable/relevant experience considered).
- 3–5 years healthcare experience in reimbursement, billing, prior authorization, appeals, and specialty pharmacy operations.
- 1–2 years supervisory experience in a call center/managed care/healthcare insurance setting desired.
- Strong technical, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills; detailed-oriented.
- Proven leadership/coaching; strong written/verbal communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn other systems.
