Role Summary

Summer Internships at AstraZeneca Mt. Vernon site. This 10-week, paid, full-time internship provides hands-on department activities, a key project to lead, mentorship, and opportunities to shadow and participate in learning sessions across multiple functional areas.

Responsibilities

  • Perform department-specific day-to-day activities as assigned by a Mentor-Supervisor.
  • Lead and execute a key internship project and report out to Site Leadership and staff.
  • Engage in job shadowing and participate in lunch-and-learn sessions to gain a broad understanding of site functions.
  • Support cross-functional teams in planning, tracking, and delivering site initiatives (various internships).
  • Assist with training program design and delivery, material planning, inventory/logistics coordination, budgeting/forecasting, and other duties as assigned by functional area.
  • Contribute to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement activities as applicable to the role.

Qualifications

  • Studying to complete a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
  • Expected graduation date after August 2026.
  • Basic understanding of technical areas related to the internship’s functional area.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • US work authorization at time of application; must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to report onsite to Mt. Vernon, IN five days a week.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and achieve significant, complex goals; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
