Role Summary

Summer 2026 Gastroenterology Medical Affairs Internship at Johnson & Johnson, based in Horsham, PA. The Gastroenterology Therapeutic Area (GI TA) Medical Affairs Intern supports GI TA projects and participates in team activities to gain industry-specific scientific and analytical experience within J&J Immunology Medical Affairs.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with GI TA staff supporting ongoing projects
  • Assist with activities associated with study start-up, publications for J&J-sponsored studies, etc.
  • Participate in ongoing GI TA team meetings
  • Be exposed to various other functions within the larger Medical Affairs/Research & Development/Commercial organizations (Immunology)

Qualifications

  • Required: Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing undergraduate study or graduate study in PharmD, PhD, MPH, NP/PA or other masterโ€šร„รดs programs
  • Required: Position will be based in Horsham, PA and involve approximately 8 hours of work per day, Monday through Friday (40-hour work week)
  • Required: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future
  • Required: Candidates must be detail-oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Required: Candidates must have the ability to work individually (independently) as well as on a team
  • Required: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel (high proficiency with generating tables and graphs), and PowerPoint; strong oral and written communication skills. Additional competencies in SharePoint and other IT systems are highly desirable; experience with PubMed databases and other literature databases
  • Preferred: Candidates with academic and/or industrial clinical trial experience
  • Preferred: Participation in campus/community service activities
