Role Summary

Summer 2026 - AI Application for Cancer Bioinformatics Internship. 10-week summer internship to build an AI agent and/or workflow to automate routine and/or novel bioinformatics analyses to support oncology drug discovery and development. The RWD AI Agent will interact with human scientists via natural language, decide on tools/analyses and datasets, execute analyses, and return results with data/visualization.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement an API interface for searching and querying RWD data
• Design and implement the RWD AI agent/workflow for RWD analyses
• Benchmark performance of the RWD AI agent
• Write reports, present results to cross-functional R&D groups

Qualifications

• Currently enrolling in an undergraduate/graduate/PhD program in an accredited US university
• Your program supports industry internship
• Knowledgeable in AI software design/development, databases and web-based applications
• Familiar with NLP, LLM models, prompt engineering, text extraction/summarization and code automation
• Proficient in Python/R and related AI/ML libraries
• Experienced with agentic AI platforms/workflows
• Familiar with bioinformatics, cancer omics data, and data visualization
• Familiar with GPU and high-performance computing is a plus
• Authorized to work in the US for the duration of the internship; no visa sponsorship available
