Role Summary
Elanco seeks a highly organized, technically proficient Study Coordinator to support Feed Manufacturing and Mixing studies. This hybrid role includes scientific writing, data analysis, project coordination, and hands-on R&D feed manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include developing regulatory-compliant study documentation, interpreting analytical results, coordinating study execution, and operating feed manufacturing equipment to produce experimental diets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and author study protocols for feed manufacturing and mixer evaluation studies (scientific integrity and regulatory compliance).
- Prepare technical reports documenting results, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Analyze analytical data, identify trends, and create graphical representations to support decisions.
- Coordinate mixer evaluation study logistics, timelines, materials, and communications across manufacturing sites.
- Operate feed manufacturing equipment (mixers, milling systems) to produce experimental feed samples.
- Execute mixer evaluation studies (load, mix, sample, unload) to assess mixing performance, ingredient distribution, and uniformity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure studies are executed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
- Maintain accurate study documentation and ensure regulatory/quality/safety compliance.
- Define and organize analytical testing internally/externally with the Analytical SME.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Animal Science, Chemistry, Feed Science, Agriculture Science, or related field.
- BS with 3+ years lab/manufacturing experience (animal health/feed science or pharma preferred); or MS with no prior experience.
- Demonstrated technical/scientific writing and regulatory documentation skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis software; ability to graph complex data.
- Highly desirable: feed manufacturing equipment knowledge (mixers, pellet mills) and analytical techniques (HPLC/Chromatography).
- Excellent written/verbal communication; ability to collaborate across research, manufacturing, and quality teams.
