Strategic Pricing Director (Oncology) Responsibilities:
- Partner with Oncology Global and Regional Market Access colleagues to develop/support/update brand pricing strategies for the oncology portfolio.
- Establish current and long-range strategic pricing objectives for pipeline and commercial products.
- Build oncology pricing competency and understanding of geographic/therapeutic market dynamics.
- Ensure clear pricing positioning and payer messaging co-created with Brand Teams and Value Evidence Teams.
- Provide direction/leadership for brand pricing to Brand Teams and internal stakeholders.
- Drive pricing excellence via collaboration with external partners (e.g., payer advisory boards) and sponsor/lead strategic projects to build competence, infrastructure, and tools.
- Educate internal stakeholders on oncology pricing dynamics and trends; lead the Global Pricing function vision/strategy/plan/objectives.
- Foster a collaborative, open-minded culture; coach team capability development; drive change and connect stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in Life Science, Business, Market Access (pricing, reimbursement, health economics).
- 10+ years pricing/market access experience (pharma/medical device/diagnostics) at Affiliate/Regional and Global level.
- Expert knowledge of pharma pricing dynamics in US, Europe, China, and other major regions.
- Track record developing/overseeing breakthrough pricing and access strategies; growth impact.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and presenting to senior executives.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills; relationship building across functions/locations.
- Fluent written/verbal English (additional languages a plus).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masterβs/MBA/Doctorate in relevant fields.
- Compliance understanding for working with third parties (policy makers, HCPs, patient organizations).
- Drug commercialization process knowledge (preclinical to marketing) and treatment algorithm rationale.
- Global matrix experience; inspiring leadership; people leadership/talent development results.
Compensation/Benefits (US): Annual base salary $180,000β$300,000 + annual bonus and eligibility for long-term incentive; health/insurance, retirement, paid holidays/vacation, caregiver/parental and medical leave.
