Strategic Planning & Operations Senior Manager

What You Will Do
- Support the function head in strategy development, goal setting, execution of organizational plans, organizational communications, project management, and implementation of functional projects.
- Generate and provide reports, dashboards, and presentations, including Operating/Business Reviews and All-Staff presentations on business performance.
- Develop and lead functional budget and resource planning and tracking in alignment with the global budget process.
- Oversee validation and maintenance of functional resource algorithms and review of resource forecasting assessments.
- Drive processes for headcount tracking and new position approvals; partner with leaders and HR on recruiting, onboarding, and talent management.
- Convert unstructured business issues/requests into action plans and projects delivering high-quality, significant, impactful results.
- Prepare functional leadership and staff meetings to achieve strategic objectives (agenda prep, presentation development, external speaker engagement).
- Represent the business strategy and partner with HR, Finance, and Corporate Communications to support strategy and goals.
- Lead/represent process change and improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain business relationships and drive best practices with other Global Development SP&Os and across R&D functions/departments.

Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate degree and 2 years of related experience in a biopharma setting
- OR Master’s degree and 4 years
- OR Bachelor’s degree and 6 years
- OR Associate’s degree and 10 years
- OR High school diploma/GED and 12 years

Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, PhD, PharmD, or Master’s with 10 years in lab sciences/biopharmaceutical industry, including 4+ years in R&D with knowledge of clinical development, financial budgeting, and workforce strategies.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and organizational change initiatives, including business case development.
- Conceptual problem-solving skills; ability to structure vaguely defined problems and execute.
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills across levels.
- Organization management experience, including developing and mentoring staff.
