Key responsibilities:
- Lead strategic identification and selection of countries and clinical trial sites for a Therapeutic Area (TA) and individual clinical trials.
- Provide early, strategic feasibility input (medical and operational) for TA/indication/study using tools, databases, and historical metrics.
- Accountable for appropriate site identification within the Clinical Trial Team (CTT); anticipate and relay hurdles/delays affecting selection and timelines.
- Consolidate feasibility feedback and potential site lists for CTT decisions; escalate site selection/sourcing challenges impacting timelines.
- Identify new investigators/sites internally and externally; maintain investigators/sites mapping aligned to TA/indication strategy.
- Monitor site performance data (e.g., recruitment).
- Maintain relationships and establish strategic partnerships with key investigators, sites, and networks.
- Support protocol development with input into the study operational plan.
- Partner with Clinical Finance Manager (CFM) on early planning; provide input on site budgets, timelines, and TTG impact.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders (TA Heads, Clinical Scientists, TMEs, Country Organizations, GCO).
Essential requirements:
- 8–10+ years’ experience in pharma/biotech/CRO drug development.
- Excellent understanding of the drug development process; early clinical development preferred.
- Strong knowledge of clinical trial site selection, country requirements, timelines, and execution challenges.
- Proven ability to work in a global matrix organization and build relationships.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions.
Desirable requirements:
- Advanced computer literacy.
- Excellent organizational skills; manage shifting priorities and unexpected events.
Compensation/benefits (as stated):
- Salary range: $152,600–$283,400/year; plus performance-based cash incentive and possible annual equity awards. US-based eligible employees receive comprehensive benefits (health/life/disability, 401(k) match) and generous time off.
