Role Summary
Lead strategic account management for vaccines across Sanofi’s largest and most complex customers. Develop and execute strategic account plans, align internal resources, and drive value creation to meet or exceed revenue targets. Location: US Remote/Field – Washington DC/Baltimore MD.
Responsibilities
- Assume the leadership role within assigned accounts, providing overall account leadership to cross-functional internal and external teams, and manage each as a business partnership on behalf of Sanofi. Build strategic account plans and deploy resources to drive value co-creation and revenue targets.
- Grow and manage a network of relationships with external stakeholders to generate revenue through genuine partnerships. Understand the customer’s business, priorities, challenges, and opportunities, including their position within the healthcare environment and financial levers.
- Identify and qualify high-value opportunities by collaborating with customers to develop growth strategies, align teams, and cultivate executive relationships. Conduct coaching and strategy sessions to enable account growth and act as the central point of communications for account planning and engagement.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree
- Required: 5+ years of field sales or account management experience
- Required: Broad understanding of health system business, decision-making processes and market trends; proven ability to access C-suite to D-suite decision makers
- Required: Ability to translate market knowledge into strategic plans with internal stakeholders
- Required: Ability to execute tactical initiatives, provide ongoing feedback, and prioritize multiple projects
- Required: Broad field sales experience with success with P&T committees and decision makers in hospitals, health systems, IHNs and other large customers
- Required: Strong business acumen and strategic thinking; self-directed with excellent execution and planning skills
- Required: Adaptability in a shifting environment; excellent written and verbal communication
- Required: Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle
- Preferred: MBA or other advanced degree
- Preferred: Strong data analytics
- Preferred: Experience in Market Access, Pricing, Contracting or Finance
- Preferred: Proficiency with MS Office and customer management databases
