Role Summary

The Strategic Account Manager for Vaccines leads engagement with our largest and most complex customers, managing high-value vaccine contracts and developing strategic account plans. This remote/field role drives value co-creation with customers, aligns internal resources, and works to meet or exceed revenue targets within assigned accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Assume the leadership role within assigned accounts, providing overall account leadership to cross-functional internal and external team members as needed. Build a strategic account plan for assigned accounts and organize and deploy resources to drive value co-creation and achieve revenue targets.
  • Develop and manage trust-based relationships with external stakeholders to generate revenue through genuine partnerships within Sanofi’s largest and most complex customers. Understand the customer’s business, priorities, challenges, and opportunities, and maintain knowledge of their business model and strategic goals.
  • Identify and qualify high-value opportunities within accounts by collaborating with customers to develop growth strategies, align teams, and nurture executive relationships. Conduct business coaching and strategy sessions to facilitate co-creation of customer value and ensure ongoing internal alignment and account growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of field sales or account management experience
  • Internal candidates with a consistent performance history may be considered with less experience
  • Broad understanding of health system business, decision-making processes, and market trends with a track record of accessing C-suite to D-suite decision makers
  • Proven ability to translate health system market knowledge into strategic plans with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to execute tactical initiatives, provide ongoing feedback, and prioritize multiple projects
  • Broad field sales experience with success engaging P&T committees, decision makers, and influencers in hospitals, health systems, IHNs, and other large-organized customers
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking; self-directed and organized with excellent execution and planning skills
  • Ability to adapt in a shifting environment; excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, be eligible for insurance coverage, and be able to safely operate a vehicle

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Additional Requirements

  • Travel up to 75% of the time to customers, conventions, training, and other internal meetings
