Strategic Account Manager β Swine Business Unit (Iowa/Minnesota)
Responsibilities
- Manage Sales and Customer Agreements: Oversee topline sales, Elanco margin strategy, and customer purchase agreement process (pricing, rebates, customer commitments).
- Customer Relationship Management & Collaboration: Use Elanco Connect to manage customer data, collaborate with internal teams, and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- Drive Innovation & Strategic Growth: Identify customer needs/opportunities, integrate into Elanco innovation strategy, deliver solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Strategic Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Develop and execute long-term account strategies; lead cross-functional teams (Sales, Technical, Marketing, EKS, Value Team, Elanco Leadership) and engage stakeholders βBarns to Boardrooms.β
- Continuous Improvement & Adaptation: Gather feedback, analyze account performance, and adjust strategies to meet evolving needs and industry trends.
- Customer Value Selling: Build relationships with production systems and key influencers; proactively solve problems, identify opportunities, and position Elanco resources for long-term win-win value.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelorβs of Science (BS) degree or higher.
- 3 years selling or production experience.
- Demonstrated business acumen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Sales and influence experience.
- Passion for selling and animal agriculture.
- Ability to develop goals, milestones, and action plans for key accounts.
- Ability to influence across veterinary, nutritional, processing, feed milling, sales/marketing, and senior management.
- Strong relationship-building skills; self-starter with high initiative.
- Ability to learn, apply, and communicate technical/scientific knowledge.
- Willingness to learn new products and disease states over time.
- Ability to coordinate resources across teams.
- Ability to relocate if necessary.
