As a Statistical Advisor, you will act as a trusted advisor to pivotal study leads and stakeholders, provide leadership to biostatistics initiatives that require significant effort, provide cross-therapeutic area support as a senior consultant on complex issues or innovative designs, and design statistics training for others. The ideal candidate will be a recognized expert in statistics communities and have a proven track record of scientific publications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Contributes and is viewed as a key resource on cross-functional strategic initiatives.
- Acts as a trusted advisor to study leads and stakeholders.
- Offers advice to others within the company to help make better decisions and resolve problems.
- Provides statistical training to colleagues who are not statisticians.
- Works with Study Biostatisticians and Clinical Research Scientists to assist with innovative trial design, simulation and execution, and develop adaptive trials software tools as appropriate.
- Presents and/or publishes new statistical methodology within and outside of the company.
- Provides leadership for a departmental strategic initiative.

Basic Qualifications:
- 9+ years of industry experience in pharma/device/diagnostics or academia experience in clinical trial research
- PhD degree in Biostatistics or related field

Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Recognized expert with good understanding of state-of-the-art statistical methods for drug development
- Proficiency in R or SAS programming and software development
- Able to set up and influence collaborations with external academic or government organizations
- Can use competitive intelligence to influence clinical development strategies

Salary/Benefits (as stated): Bay Area: $226,185.00–$292,710.00; Other US Locations: $205,615.00–$266,090.00. May be eligible for discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package (company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans).
