Role: Lead systems engineering for the development of analytical instruments within Bio-Techne's New Product Development team. Responsibilities: oversee system-level design, requirements development, hardware integration, automation, verification testing, troubleshooting, and process transfer for complex hardware and opto-mechanical products across prototype, alpha, beta, and pilot phases; mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, quality, manufacturing, and field support. Requirements: Bachelor's in engineering or related field with 10+ years (or Master's with 8+ years) experience in complex instrument systems involving mechanical, electrical, optical, and software integration; hands-on experience with prototype testing, troubleshooting, automation (Python, LabVIEW), and V&V activities; proficiency in project leadership and cross-team collaboration. Preferred: experience in CAD (SolidWorks), hardware automation, reagent handling, PLM systems, and wet lab environments. High-Value: expertise in opto-mechanical instrument development, multidisciplinary system integration, automation, and data analysis; senior engineering leadership with a focus on new product design and lifecycle management.
