The Regeneron Manufacturing (IOPS) AI Engineer is a skilled professional responsible for developing and deploying complex artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to solve specific business challenges within the IOPS organization. This role requires deep expertise in AI algorithms, data analysis, software engineering practices, and proficiency in managing AI projects from conception to production.

As a Staff, GMP AI Engineer, a typical day might include the following:

  • Lead all phases of AI engineering projects from conception to production. This includes developing detailed and accurate project schedules while collaborating with internal cross functional teams, end users, and third party contacts.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis, feature engineering, and data preprocessing to prepare datasets for model training.
  • Train, evaluate, and fine-tune AI models to achieve optimal performance metrics.
  • Monitor model performance in production environments and identify areas for improvement.
  • Design, develop, and implement AI solutions (e.g., deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision) to address specific business challenges.
  • Design and build scalable AI infrastructure, including data pipelines, model serving frameworks, and cloud-based deployment architectures.
  • Optimize AI systems for performance and efficiency, considering latency, throughput, and resource utilization.
  • Mentor and guide junior AI engineers on best practices, coding standards, and AI development methodologies.
  • Provide technical expertise to cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and software engineers.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into actionable AI solutions, and clearly communicate technical concepts.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to inform model development.
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

This Role May Be For You If You Have

  • Proven experience in leading AI and Intelligent Automation initiatives, with a strong track record of successful AI and Intelligent Automation solutions.
  • Deep understanding of AI algorithms, machine learning techniques (e.g., deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision), and related software frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and knowledge of software development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.

In order to be considered for this position, you must hold a BS/BA in IT, Scientific or Engineering discipline (Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering) or related field and

  • Principal: 8+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Staff: 10+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or similar highly regulated environment preferred.
  • Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience. Level is determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.

Salary Range (annually)

$101,800.00 - $194,500.00
