Role Summary
Staff Engineer for Agentic AI in Oncology Data Science & AI. Located in Boston, MA or Gaithersburg, MD. Focused on developing agentic AI solutions to tackle scientific research problems in cancer research and oncology data science.
Responsibilities
- Build Agentic AI driven solutions that tackle scientific research problems.
- Develop, test, and support Agentic tools for Genomics, Computational Pathology, Clinical Trials, etc.
- Automate complex data analysis processes.
- Introduce leading AI technologies applied to cancer research.
Qualifications
- Required: Relevant graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Bioinformatics.
- Required: Minimum of 10 years of applied experience in software engineering, data science, machine learning, bioinformatics, or relevant field.
- Required: Hands-on experience building Agentic AI systems and deploying them to production.
- Required: Programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript.
- Required: Experience with Unix, SQL databases, REST APIs, and Cloud computing (AWS).
- Required: Experience with software development best practices.
- Desirable: AI frameworks such as Pydantic-AI, LangChain; experience in RAG and vector databases; understanding of LLMs/foundation models; experience in at least one compiled language (C, Java, Go, Rust, etc.).
