Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Specialist for HIV Treatment in Wisconsin/Iowa. Represent Gilead's products and services to a defined customer base, focusing on generating and growing sales by meeting or exceeding targets within a specific geographic area. Employ a comprehensive account-management approach, engaging healthcare practices through in-person outreach, face-to-face meetings, and strategic partnerships. Build strong relationships with healthcare providers and deliver timely disease-awareness information, clinical updates, and education on healthcare changes, distilling complex concepts into clear messages for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Account Management & Sales Strategy: Build strong relationships and engage healthcare providers across touchpoints to understand needs and maximize the impact of Gilead's products; develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan; monitor sales progress and adjust strategies to meet targets.
  • Product & Disease State Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of Gilead's products and the disease state's complexities; promote appropriate use in compliance with Corporate, PhRMA, and OIG guidelines.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Partner with local cross-functional colleagues to ensure a seamless customer experience; collaborate externally with healthcare organizations and partner companies; build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  • Leadership & Compliance: Model and uphold compliance standards and ethical behavior; ensure adherence to regulatory policies and laws; ensure timely reporting of adverse events and compliance with applicable guidelines and codes.
  • Customer Engagement & Reporting: Leverage influencing skills to drive sales; build long-term partnerships with healthcare providers; perform required administrative tasks including reporting call activity and customer information, submitting expenses, and managing the territory budget; pursue continuous learning and development; demonstrate self-motivation to exceed goals; experience in selling a Buy and Bill product.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree and Six Years' Experience
  • Required: Master's Degree and Four Years' Experience
  • Required: PhD and 0 Years' Experience
  • Preferred: BA or BS degree
  • Preferred: A minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical, biotech or healthcare industry sales experience
  • Preferred: Superior selling skills focused on highly competitive markets
  • Preferred: Proven and consistent track record of meeting/exceeding sales objectives, preferably in specialty markets
  • Preferred: Successful performance and collaborative leadership with account-focused cross-functional local teams
  • Preferred: Experience in selling injectable physician-administered products
  • Preferred: Familiarity with the managed care landscape and its impact on business
