Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Specialist – HCV/PBC responsible for representing Gilead's products to a defined customer base, generating and growing sales within a geographic area, and building strong relationships with healthcare practices to provide disease awareness information and clinical updates. Applies complex clinical concepts to diverse audiences and collaborates with internal teams to address geography-specific issues and opportunities. This role supports the Western Michigan/Eau Claire territory, including parts of Iowa and Michigan UP.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the appropriate use of Gilead products to healthcare professionals in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Develop and implement a territory business plan to meet customer needs and achieve sales goals; monitor progress and adjust actions accordingly.
  • Prepare territory budget plans for customer contacts, educational grants, speaker events, and other expenditures.
  • Partner with Medical Scientists, National Account Managers, Therapeutic Center Specialists, Marketing, and external partners as needed.
  • Identify and resolve issues and opportunities; communicate proactively to marketing and sales management.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Inclusion & Diversity efforts.
  • Report adverse events to Drug Safety and Public Health departments as required.
  • Perform all administrative functions, including call reporting and expense submission.
  • Adhere to regulatory and company policies; uphold company values (Teamwork, Excellence, Accountability, Integrity).
  • Display advanced influencing and relationship-building skills focused on sales outcomes.
  • Continuously learn and retain technical and scientific product information; work autonomously to exceed goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and guidance related to product promotion and information dissemination.

Qualifications

  • Required: High School Degree and 11 years of experience OR Associate's Degree and 9 years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of experience OR Master's Degree and 5 years of experience.
  • Required travel within the assigned area and compliance with onsite visitation requirements for healthcare practitioners (vaccinations, screenings, etc., as applicable).
  • Must be able to perform essential duties; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
  • Required: Valid driver's license.
  • Preferred: BA or BS degree; minimum 4 years of pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience; strong selling skills in competitive markets; proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales objectives; previous product launch experience in a competitive environment.

Education
