Senior Therapeutic Specialist (Liver HBV/HDV) – Los Angeles North region
Responsibilities
- Represent Gilead products/services to a defined customer base; generate and grow sales by consistently achieving/exceeding sales targets in the assigned geography.
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers; deliver disease awareness information, clinical updates, and education.
- Develop and execute a territory business plan; monitor performance and adjust strategies to meet/exceed goals.
- Maintain expertise in Gilead products and the therapeutic disease state; promote appropriate product use.
- Partner internally (e.g., field reimbursement managers, medical scientists, field team) and externally with healthcare organizations/partners (including co-promotion).
- Use influencing/relationship skills; perform required administrative reporting and expense/territory budget management.
Skills & Qualifications Needed
- Advanced communication to convey complex clinical information to diverse audiences.
- Proven sales success/track record of achieving/exceeding targets in competitive pharma; sales acumen.
- Technical/scientific proficiency in therapeutic area; account management/key account growth.
- Collaboration in a cross-functional matrix; leadership by example; autonomy/initiative.
Required Basic Qualifications
- High school + 11 years, OR associate + 9 years, OR bachelor + 7 years, OR master + 5 years.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel; ability to meet onsite visitation requirements (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS; 7+ years pharma/biotech/healthcare sales; injectable physician-administered product experience; managed care familiarity; specialty-market success.
Compensation/Benefits
- Salary range: $133,195–$172,370; may include discretionary bonus/long-term incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life.
