Role: Senior Systems Engineer leading development, validation, and integration of automated laboratory instruments and bioprocess technologies within a biopharma setting. Objectives: optimize processes for cost-effectiveness and product quality, ensure compliance with ISO 13485 standards. Responsibilities: design and validate automated workflows, develop control scripts (C#, Python), troubleshoot instrumentation, maintain laboratory automation hardware, and integrate robotic systems with LIMS infrastructure (e.g., MES, Twist). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, prepare documentation, and support training activities. Qualifications: Ph.D. or MS with 3+ years, BS with 5+ years in Biomedical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; proven experience in bioprocess automation, scripting, and hardware assembly. Skills: expertise in automated instrumentation, control software, sample tracking interfaces, and biological lab tools such as PCR and DNA extraction devices. Preferred: hands-on hardware skills, experience with DoE, data analysis, and cross-platform system integration. High-Value: bioprocess automation, laboratory instrumentation, integration with LIMS, ISO 13485 standards, biotech/pharma R&D environment. Work setup: onsite in Wilsonville, OR; no travel specified.
