Role Summary

Sr. Systems Analyst / Planisware PPM Administrator role located at SD HQ onsite. Hands-on, technically strong professional to help build and shape the Planisware Enterprise platform, configuring across DEV, TEST, and PROD environments, designing data structures, building workflows, and ensuring high-quality integrations to support portfolio planning, project execution, and strategic decision-making across R&D, PMO, Finance, and IT.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with PMO, R&D, IT, and Finance to design scalable PPM system architectures aligned with governance and operational needs
  • Leads technical configuration within Planisware, including model setup, UI/UX configuration, custom dynamic objects, form design, profiles, and permissions
  • Designs data mapping strategies, executes data loads, and manages ongoing data integrity across multiple source systems
  • Develops test plans, executes system testing, supports UAT, and validates configuration against documented requirements
  • Authors and maintains detailed technical documentation, including configuration specs, interface diagrams, workflow logic maps, and support runbooks
  • Evaluates platform enhancements, new features, and impact of Planisware releases; leads technical upgrade planning
  • Implements structured release and change management processes for Planisware environments
  • Provides technical mentorship and acts as a subject-matter expert for colleagues and super-users
  • Ensures Planisware configurations and integrations comply with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, cybersecurity, and data governance requirements
  • Responds rapidly to critical system issues, performs root-cause analysis, and implements preventive measures
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems engineering, information systems, or similar technical field and 4+ years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting PPM or enterprise SaaS systems OR
  • Required: Master’s degree and 2+ years related experience
  • Preferred: Life sciences or regulated industry experience
  • Required: Deep understanding of PPM systems—preferably Planisware Enterprise—including module configuration, operations, data structures, and system administration
  • Required: Workflow design and automation
  • Required: Portfolio and project data modeling
  • Required: Resource capacity modeling logic
  • Required: Financial/object cost structures
  • Required: Permissions, profiles, and security roles
  • Required: Proficiency with SQL and relational database concepts; ability to interpret and troubleshoot queries and data flows
  • Required: Experience with APIs, integration frameworks, middleware, and ETL tools (Workato, Boomi, custom API integrations)
  • Required: Knowledge of reporting tools such as OBIEE, OBI Publisher, or similar enterprise analytics platforms
  • Required: Familiarity with CSV/flat file processing, batch jobs, scheduling tools, and automated pipelines
  • Required: Understanding of Computer System Validation concepts and GxP requirements
  • Required: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to technical detail
  • Required: Ability to manage multiple technical workstreams and prioritize effectively
  • Required: Excellent documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Required: Ability to operate independently while aligning to project standards and governance
  • Required: Demonstrated success supporting or leading complex SaaS system deployments
