Senior Specialty Representative

What You Will Do
- Serve as the liaison to customers by providing clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals.
- Provide current, comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen products and communicate clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals.
- Lead sales efforts to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, implementing planned programs, scheduling and following up on medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Service and manage accounts by ensuring product access, resolving/triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and perform territory analysis; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Maintain passion for products throughout the sales cycle while building brand and serving patients.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and maintain continuous learning.
- Leverage disease state awareness and monitor industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver agreed results.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree and 3 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device or hospital sales
OR
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device or hospital sales
OR
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device or hospital sales

Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases
- Local market knowledge
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
- Adaptability with core competencies: Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business/Industry/Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; Cultivating Internal and External Relationships
