Senior Specialty Representative
What You Will Do
- Act as the liaison to customers by providing clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals.
- Serve as the primary customer contact and implement marketing strategy/promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager.
- Achieve territory sales by:
- Providing current and comprehensive clinical knowledge and effectively communicating clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals.
- Delivering branded sales message strategies, implementing planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving/exceeding sales targets.
- Servicing and managing accounts: ensuring product access, resolving/triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Analyzing business effectiveness and performing territory analysis; developing territory plans with the District Manager.
- Sustaining product passion through the sales cycle while building the brand and serving patients.
- Partnering with colleagues to share best practices and maintain continuous learning.
- Leveraging disease-state awareness and industry/regulatory/competitive changes to deliver agreed results.
What We Expect Of You
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree and 3 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device OR hospital sales
- OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience
- OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases (and related diseases/treatments)
- Local market knowledge
- Bachelorโs degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
- Adaptability with core competencies: Planning & Organizing; Leveraging Business/Industry/Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; Cultivating Internal & External Relationships.
