Role: Senior Specialist in Plant Automation responsible for designing, building, and supporting OT automation solutions within a regulated research and manufacturing environment, focusing on pilot plant and process automation infrastructure. Responsibilities include optimizing IT/OT plant infrastructure, supporting control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, DeltaV), and ensuring cybersecurity and system integration for GMP manufacturing. The role entails collaborating with scientists, engineers, vendors, and stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions, leading project scoping, requirements, and commissioning, as well as troubleshooting and continuous system improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's in automation, engineering, or related field; 5+ years in manufacturing automation, with hands-on experience in control systems, networking, virtualization, and data architecture; strong troubleshooting, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred: Masterβs degree and familiarity with enterprise systems like MES, SAP, PI Historian, and regulated computer support. HighValue: Focus on plant automation, process control, and industrial networking in a regulated, possibly GMP environment, with travel up to 10%.
