Sr. Specialist, Bio Technology Solutions (BTS) - Site Support

Role: Lead technical expert in manufacturing processes for veterinary vaccines and biopharmaceuticals, focusing on microbial, viral, and cell culture production, downstream purification, and sterile fill-finish operations. Responsibilities include process optimization, troubleshooting, lifecycle management, technology transfer, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves scientific leadership during investigations, validation, change control, and regulatory inspections, ensuring compliance with USDA and GMP standards. Collaboration spans Operations, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, and Research teams, supporting new product introductions, scale-up, and process transfer. The position requires managing multiple projects, authoring technical documentation, and contributing to global manufacturing knowledge. Work setup is onsite with approximately 10% travel. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Chemical, Biochemical, or related engineering/biology discipline with at least 5 years’ experience in vaccine or biopharmaceutical manufacturing or process development; or Master’s with 3+ years. Preferred skills include expertise in microbial fermentation, viral propagation, process validation, automation, and knowledge of USDA and GMP regulations. The role demands excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities, with experience in investigations, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.
