Job Summary
- Ensure the reliable operations of data assets to stakeholders, providing high-quality, reliable, and accessible data for consumers such as analysts and data scientists in a rapid and continuous fashion.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure analytics assets (data pipelines and data models) are reliably and efficiently deployed and maintained in production.
- Monitor and troubleshoot: set up monitoring dashboards and alerts to track pipeline performance and health; troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Enhance performance and optimization: continuously optimize pipeline performance, efficiency, and resource usage to manage costs and improve scalability.
- Implement CI/CD for data: apply continuous integration and continuous deployment practices to data pipelines to rapidly and reliably deploy new data models and features.
- Improve team processes/structures/knowledge: analyze current states, deliver recommendations to understand environmental complexity, and execute complex solutions to completion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in data engineering, full stack development, or cloud engineering.
- Experience in data engineering, DevOps, or DataOps preferred.
- Ability to work independently and directly manage a cross-functional team including results/outcomes.
- Strong programming and scripting skills, particularly in Python and SQL.
- Cloud experience (AWS preferred), including AWS data services such as S3, Glue, and Lambda (plus).
- Proficiency with Git.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
