Key Responsibilities
- Apply cryo-EM and/or X-ray crystallography to determine high-resolution structures of proteins and macromolecular complexes relevant to drug discovery
- Conduct cryo-EM workflows including grid preparation, data collection, image processing, 3D reconstruction, and model building
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate structural insights into medicinal chemistry and biologics design efforts, including hit validation and hit-to-lead optimization
- Contribute to the operation, optimization, and maintenance of cryo-EM instrumentation and workflows
- Present results clearly to internal project teams and contribute to scientific publications and reports
- Independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and deliver impactful results
Basic Qualifications
- PhD in Structural Biology or related field, with postdoctoral training in solving atomic resolution structures of macromolecular complexes
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in structural biology, preferably including biopharmaceutical industry experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience in single-particle cryo-EM (grid preparation, optimization, data acquisition, processing, 3D reconstruction, model building)
- Hands-on experience with recombinant protein construct design, expression, purification, and characterization
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills in a matrixed team environment
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects independently
