Clinical Research and Development
Primary Responsibilities
- Propose innovative product development approaches; design experiments, execute plans, and interpret data.
- Evaluate and deploy new technologies to pipeline assets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally; apply specialized scientific knowledge to drive results.
- Execute formulation and process development using Design of Experiments for new chemical entities and life cycle management.
- Coordinate with process chemistry, preformulation, analytical, and physical characterization groups.
- Outsource/coordinate formulation development or clinical manufacturing with CDMOs/CMOs.
- Support clinical supplies manufacturing, packaging, and release; assist scale-up (pilot/commercial) and summarize results in reports/presentations.
- Advance technical strategy via patents, presentations, publications, and professional activities.
- Maintain awareness of new technologies and share knowledge.

Education Minimum Requirements
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
- OR B.S./M.S. in Engineering/Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field plus 5+ years relevant industrial experience.

Required Experience and Skills
- Identify and develop innovative ideas.

- Strong verbal and written communication.

Preferred Experience and Skills
- Pharmaceutical development; addressing manufacturing challenges via novel production technologies.
- Experience with continuous manufacturing, 3D printing, controlled release, and/or oral delivery of large molecules.
- Process modeling/simulation and automation integration; physical/organic chemistry, physical pharmacy, materials science.
- Hands-on experience in pharmaceutical pilot plants.
